An example with a shipment from the European Union : « DAT Port of Kobe/Japan, Terminal n° 1254 » = the seller takes out and prepays the costs of transport up to the port of Kobe, goods unloaded from the vessel, deposited in the terminal, cleared for export but not for import in Japan. The seller has no obligation to take out a contract of insurance but it must keep in mind that it bears all risks of loss of or damage up to place of destination. The seller must notify the buyer that the goods have been delivered at the named place of destination.
